Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Describe, explain and evaluate the function, process and development of law in Australia.
2.
Outline and evaluate the main principles of a range of areas of the law, including contract, tort, consumer and criminal law in Australia.
3.
Apply these principles to the analysis and resolution of hypothetical problems.
4.
Use appropriate practical legal skills including: basic legal research techniques, legal reasoning and interpretation to synthesise solutions to hypothetical legal problems.
